Stylish star Allu Arjun

Stylish star Allu Arjun is someone who needs no  introduction. From his stylish looks to mind-blowing dances, the star has stolen hearts,  not only in  two Telugu states, but across the country. Allu Arjun also enjoys immense following nationally and internationally. As a scion of both Mega family and Allu family, Allu Arjun entered the film industry amid huge expectations.
While it isn't very difficult to enter the film industry when you already have a background, carrying the legacy forward is sure a task . The constant debate on nepotism in the film industry brings these actors into limelight but then, only these stars know the pressure of living upto the expectations. They silently struggle with the pressure of living up to the expectations of millions of fans. Amid such stress came Allu Arjun, who entered the industry as the  son of mega producer Allu Arvind. Allu Arjun is the grandson of late actor Allu Ramalingaiah, a legendary comedian loved by   Tollywood audience. With such a great background, it was quite obvious that there were very high expectations from Allu Arjun.

Allu Arjun was born on April 8, 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to Allu Arvind and Nirmala. The Allu family is a big name in the industry. Needless to say, Allu Ramalingaiah, who acted in over 1000 movies, was a great comedian. He also won  Padma Shri and Raghupati Venkaiah Awards.
Allu Ramalingaiah's son Allu Arvind  emerged as number one producer in the industry. Allu Arvind started his career in the industry as a producer with  film 'BantrotuBharya' in 1974 after launching  Geeta Arts.

Allu Arjun has earned a well-established place in Tollywood as a top hero.
In 1985, at the age of  two, Allu Arjun starred in a short scene in his uncle megastar Chiranjeevi's film 'Vijayata'. Director Kodandaramy Reddy saw Allu Arjun on the sets of Vijayata and offered him the role. In the same year, Allu Arjun also acted in Kamal Haasan starrer 'Swathimuthyam'. Allu Arjun appeared  in a short scene as Kamal Haasan's grandson in the film. Allu Arjun had  keen interest in extra-curricular activities. He was always fond of dancing.

Even at home, when Chiranjeevis and Allu Arjuns families met, they would spend their time dancing. Allu Arjun would be the most enthusiastic dancer at family get-togethers. From there, megastar Chiranjeevi noticed his interest in dance and gave him the opportunity to play the role of a young man in the 2001 film Daddy. With that role, Allu Arjun became known in the industry as Chiranjeevi's nephew. He also got good recognition for his dance. It was through this film that people started speculating that there would soon be a new hero in the industry.

Even Allu Arjun started dreaming of being a hero with the film Daddy. Apart from dancing Allu Arjun was also trained in gymnastics and martial arts. Allu Arjun was also very interested in animation. That is why Allu Arvind wanted to send Allu Arjun abroad and make him an expert in the field of animation. However, Allu Arjun  made it very clear that he will not go into the field of animation. Instead, he wanted to act in movies and become a hero.

Allu Arjun's mother Nirmala was not happy with his decision to be a hero. She refuted his decision and said that the field was not as rosy as it looked. She told him that there would be a lot of pressure and it was not easy to succeed as an actor. However, Allu Arjun stood by his decision. He said he would be a hero no matter what. Chiranjeevi, who came to know about this from Allu Arvind, advised that Allu Arjun should be  sent to an acting school. Bunny as he is  known fondly , joined Kishore Kumars School in Mumbai. While he was learning acting, his father Allu Arvind started looking for directors to launch his son. After consulting a lot of people, Allu Arvind approached the legendary director K Raghavendra Rao, who introduced a lot of heroes to the industry. Raghavendra Rao  told Arvind that he wanted to do his 100th film with Chiranjeevi. By then Raghavendra Rao had made 99 films. Raghavendra Rao thought that his centenary film would be good with Chiranjeevi, with whom, he had already delivered a number of blockbuster successes. However, Allu Arvind did not give up.

He told Raghavendra Rao that he should launch Allu Arjun so that his son's career would have a good trajectory . Raghavendra Rao had to agree to it when Chiranjeevi himself tried to convince him. So Producer Ashwini Datts film Gangotri was the first film starring Allu Arjun as  hero. His journey as a hero started under  Vyjayanti Movies banner. The film was produced on a huge budget.  Aarti Agarwal's younger sister Aditi Agarwal  made her debut as a heroine alongside Allu Arjun. Gangotri turned out to be a  hit.  With this, Allu Arjun entered the industry on a very good note. Although there was some criticism on Allu Arjun's looks, Gangotri remained a good experience to him .  He then started his quest to prove himself and concentrated on his looks. He also started focussing more on gymnastics and got trained to improve his dancing skills. After a small break, Allu Arjun was ready with his second film.

This time, the entire Allu-Mega camp took extreme care for his next launch.
It was at such a time that Dil Raju, along with a new comer, approached Arvind. Arvind liked his story and showed interest. The new lad was Sukumar and he had already worked for two or three films in Dil Rajus camp. He narrated the story of the film 'Arya' and Allu Arvind liked it very much. Chiranjeevi, however, had some doubts about the story which was one sided Love Story. But Chiru agreed seeing Dil Raju's confidence.

Arya was launched in late 2003. Devi Sri was selected to compose music for the film. The musician already had a good following among the youth so he was believed to be the right person for the film. Arya was released on May 7, 2004.  The songs in the movie were instant hit .  The film created a storm among youth. Arya went on to become a trend setter in many respects. Allu Arjun, who was criticised a lot for Gangotri, had responded well and proved himself with Arya.

The film created a sensation that wouldn't be forgotten anytime soon. Arya was dubbed and released in Malayalam under the name Arya and it was a great success. Allu Arjun created a market in Malayalam with the film. People down there started calling him Mallu Arjun. Gradually with each film he was able to create his own image and huge market in Malayalam as well. Allu Arjun became the first Telugu hero to achieve star status in Malayalam.
Arya had a very big success.

With the success of his third film with director Vinayak ,  Allu Arjun hit hat trick. Allu Arjun's journey towards bigger success started. Though he had a solid background, Allu Arjun never took his career lightly and he worked really hard to earn star status. He wanted to be something special.
He concentrated  much on his dances and  started attempting the most difficult dances. His passion for dance from an early age and  gymnastics also helped. He quickly became a stylish star with his stylish acting, dancing and fashion sense.
Allu Arjun went ahead in his career by choosing a variety of films. He  made sure to not repeat the genre that he had already worked on.  Allu Arjun  selected a comedy romantic entertainer this time. At that time, Karunakaran was a virtuoso in that genre. Allu Arvind did not get a chance to make a film with Allu Arjun for the first three films. That is why this time Allu Arvind wanted to produce it himself anyway.  The film was titled ‘Happy’ with the idea that it will be  connected to the audience instantly. The film managed to entertain but t  it turned out to be an average film. However, Allu Arjun's record of not having a flop film so far in his career was maintained with this film.

Next, Allu Arjun fell in love with the story told by star director Puri Jagannath. At that time, there was a belief that if Puri did a film with an actor, then it would turn a milestone for the hero. That is why Allu Arjun decided to work with Puri for the film. For the movie, Allu Arjun focussed more on his body and he also went to Mumbai and trained for a few months. There he trained with a trainer who worked with Salman Khan. Allu Arjun worked hard and got a six pack. With this he  became the first hero in the South to have a six-pack. The film Desamuduru was directed by Puri Jagannath. Bunny had long hair in the movie and the hairstyle became very famous among the youth at that time. Allu Arjun's different style in terms of dialogue modulation also impressed everyone. The film released during Sankranthi in 2007, and it created a tsunami at the box-office. The film  grossed over Rs 40 crore and  skyrocketed Allu Ar jun's market. Hansika was introduced as the heroine through this movie. Bunny also introduced three heroines to Tollywood in five films. This credit probably belongs to Allu Arjun.

After Desamuduru Allu Arjun completely changed his style once again. Bunny, who looked stylish in the movie Desamuduru, chose to have a simple look for his next movie. With Desamuduru becoming a full mass film, he planned the next film to be classy. Allu Arjun  agreed for the film to be made  under the direction of Bhaskar, who created a sensation with the movie Bommarillu. After Arya, Dil Raju once again came forward to make a film
with Allu Arjun. While not a groundbreaking contribution to the genre, Parugu impressed audience and Allu Arjun also made a mark as a straightforward, tough-guy.
It is interesting to note that Allu Arjun was mostly seen wearing just one dress in the movie Parugu. The audience thought it was very new and were quite impressed. Allu Arjun also managed to increase his fan following with the film Parugu. Since then, Allu Arjun has been not only a mega hero but also one of the promising heroes in the industry.

After the huge sensation created by Allu Arjun-Sukumar-Devi Sri Prasad film Arya, the trio reunited for ‘Arya 2’. The film was a musical hit. All the songs were  super duper hit. The breakup song, love song and item song, all the songs from Arya 2 received appreciation. Bunny also looked ultra stylish in the movie. However, Arya 2 was the first flop for him. The film failed to meet the huge expectations .

Audience loved his dance moves in the song 'My Love Is Gone'. After Arya 2  , Allu Arjun  opted to do the film 'Varudu' which was narrated by his favorite director Gunasekhar. The five day wedding concept shown in this movie was new. The heroine in the film was not shown until the release of the movie. The concept worked as a charm for promotions. The film starred Tamil hero Arya as the villain. Unfortunately, Varudu was another flop in Allu Arjun's career.

In his next movie Vedam  Arjun's grew as an actor. This was the first film that Bunny did without consulting anyone.
After Vedam he  decided to go into full commercial mode.

He did ‘Badrinath’ directed by Vinayak. The film was made with a huge budget but it turned out to be severely disappointing. It was a long time since he had a huge hit in his career. He needed a blockbuster to fill the gap. Under such circumstances, Allu Arjun teamed up with Trivikram Srinivas, the magician of words. They worked on the film ‘Julai’ which turned out to be a very special film in Allu Arjun’s career. Julai became the biggest blockbuster in his career after Arya. The dialogues in this movie exploded like bullets. The stylish star's makeover was much loved by everyone. Allu Arjun's career went uphill ever since this movie. Analysts began adding him to the list of top heroes after the success of Julai.

After Julai, Allu Arjun teamed up with Puri Jagannath once again for the film 'Iddarammayilatho'. The film was produced by Bandla Ganesh. The film was another stylish attempt. Interval Fight, in particular, created a sensation at the time. In 2014, Allu Arjun starred in a short film I Am The Change. He produced it himself. The short film was directed by Sukumar. In the same year, Allu Arjun appeared in a cameo role in the movie 'Evadu' starring Ram Charan as the hero. Fans loved seeing Ram Charan and Allu Arjun together for a few seconds in one frame. Due to the presence of Allu Arjun in the film, it was also released in Malayalam, and it was a super hit there too.

The film "Race Gurram' was another big break in Allu Arjun's career. Directed by Surender Reddy, the film was not expected to be such a big hit.
Allu Arjun's commercial hit 'Race Gurram' is the biggest hit of his life.

After Race Gurram, Allu Arjun decided to work with Trivikram once again. Their next film Son of Satyamoorthy is another meaningful film in Allu Arjun's career. The film is satisfying in terms of collections.

Bunny impressed with a very mature performance in the film. In the same year, Allu Arjun played the role of GonaGannareddy in Gunashekhar's big budget movie 'Rudramadevi'. Anushka and Rana played the leads in the historical movie. Gunasekhar was hunting for a star hero to play GonaGannareddy and Bunny came forward and did the film without taking a single rupee in advance.  The film was a hit and major credit goes to Bunny. Allu Arjun was cast in the role of GonaGannareddy and made an unforgettable mark with that role.

By then it was a long time since Allu Arjun came to full-fledged mass cinema. Allu Arjun made the film 'Sarainodu' under the direction of Boyapati Sreenu . The film brought Bunny closer to the mass audience. Allu Arjun  grossed nearly Rs 100 crore through this film.

People were wondering if anybody else could manage mass and class audience as Bunny does? After Sarainodu, Allu Arjun made the film Duvvada Jagannath under the direction of Harish Shankar. Hats off to Allu Arjun for his portrayal of a Brahmin youth in this film. The film was an average hit.

After this film, Allu Arjun gave the opportunity to writer Vakkantam Vamsi to direct. The patriotic film 'Na Preu Surya Na Illu India' had good openings but failed to become a commercial success. But Allu Arjun delivered a great performance in the film. He took military training for the film and also got a full understanding of their mental state. He also went abroad for cap dance training for a song in the film. After the flop of this movie, Allu Arjun started introspecting again. Allu Arjun decided to take a break for a few months as he felt that something was going wrong in his career. The break, which was supposed to be for six-months, went on for a year.

After the break, Bunny was completely refreshed and worked with Trivikram for the third time. 'Ala Vaikunthapuramulo' released for Sankranthi 2020 turned out to be the biggest hit of Allu Arjun's career. Apart from that, the film broke non-Baahubali records. On  one hand there was direct competition from superstar Mahesh Babu but Ala Vaikunthapuram survived it and became the Sankranthi winner. We have all seen how big a sensation the songs in this movie created. Samajavaragamana, RamuloRamula, and Butta Bomma became chart busters. The song butta momma not only gained fame internationally but also garnered over 500 million views on YouTube. Allu Arjun became the first Telugu hero to achieve this feat.

Allu Arjun married Sneha Reddy in 2011 while his career was running successfully.

Stylish star Allu Arjun has won Nandi Awards three times in his career. Allu Arjun, who won the Special Jury Award for Arya and Parugu, won the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Rudramadevi.

Allu Arjun has won a total of five Filmfare Awards in his career. Allu Arjun won Filmfare Award for Parugu, Vedam and Race Gurram. Bunny and also
received Filmfare Best Supporting Actor for Rudramadevi.
Allu Arjun also bagged SIIMA, IFA, Cine 'Ma' and Santosham awards.
When there is a discussion about personal and professional growth, Allu Arjun can be cited as the best example. He proved himself to be an example of how hard it is to come from an industry background and then create a successful career. Allu Arjun is someone who knows how to grow while also encouraging the  people around him. Bunny promoted Bunny Vasu and SKN as producers. Also, he supported the director Maruti personally.
Allu Arjun's journey, which started with the film Gangotri, has now reached the top five in Tollywood. Allu Arjun is currently targeting the Pan India level with his upcoming film 'Pushpa'. He wants to raise his level further and do better movies in coming  years, rise to greater heights and raise the level of Tollywood.
