Ravi Teja's Shock completes 15 years

With hits like Bhadra and Bhagirathi, Ravi Teja has created great expectation for himself in the industry. Ramgopal Varma wanted to make a film with Ravi Teja in his production under the direction of Praval Raman. Ravi had already listened to a story narrated by Kona Venkat. Ravi liked the story but he told Varma that it would have been good if a Telugu director did it. This made Varma think. Ravi Tejal told Harish, who had already worked as a co-director for two or three Ravi Teja films, to listen to the story, Harish went to Varma and listened to the story. After saying that the story was good but not suitable for Ravi, Varma, who was angry at first, then praised him for speaking his mind without thinking of anyone. He also gave him a chance to direct. Harish, who was a little scared at first, later took the offer and did the film 'Shock'. Released on February 9, 2006, the film did not do as well as hoped and it scored moderate victory. But Harish Shankar's taking made the film another milestone in Ravi Teja's career. Ravi Teja, Jyothika, Tabu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Subbaraju, and Ravi Kale delivered excellent performances and did 100 percent justice to their roles. As a director, Harish made his mark with his first film. Since then he has had a good position in the industry as a director. Today marks the 15th anniversary of Shock.
